Here I am in November 2004. It's the day of graduation from basic training and MP school at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. I learned quite a bit during my training and from my drill sergeants. And yes, it is snowing. I grew up in Lake Dallas, Texas and joined the Army Reserves the day I turned 18. I graduated from high school in June of 2004 and left for trainng at the end of July. I completed my basic training/MP training at Fort Leonnard Wood in Missouri. Nicknamed "Ft. Lost in the Woods" I enjoyed my basic training. I had been well prepared by the men in my reserve unit and took the time to workout and get in shape before I left. After I got home, I decided to enlist and shipped out to Korea in January 2005. Since then, I was assigned to Fort Hood Texas and was promoted to Specialist. I volunteered to go to Iraq in 2006 and spent a year there, I am nowback at Fort Hood. Fall, 2008 I was promoted to Sergeant and I look forward to what I will do next. |
